Meet the Community Council

Geoff Cartwright - Chair of Limekilns, Charlestown and Pattiesmuir Community Council
Hello All!
I have been pleased to have been involved with our Community Council since just after we moved to Pattiesmuir in 1990. I think it's important that local people have a voice in the decision making of local bodies affecting their localities and I would urge others to get involved too! We meet on the last Tuesday of 11 months of the year (missing out December).
I am the father of three locally educated children and have been married to Barbara McKenzie for over 42 years. We are both from North East England but love living in Scotland and regularly travel to the Highlands. We are privileged to live in such a glorious area and we should all cherish and protect our special environment. I am a passionate grandfather, Rugby Union supporter and dog owner. Now retired, I spent most of my working life in various positions within the Medical Device Industry including international positions within the USA and Poland.
We would welcome your contact if you have a desire to assist CC activity - we absolutely need a more diverse demographic of folks with local knowledge and commitment - please come along and contribute!

Councillor Andy Jackson - Member of Charlestown, Limekilns and Pattiesmuir Community Council

I had the honour of being elected a local councillor for Ward 5 Rosyth and the villages of Charlestown, Pattiesmuir, Limekilns and Crombie.
It was one of the best days of my life.
In the past years, I have supported residents with various issues from housing, housing repairs, potholes, access for people with disabilities, through to trees, as well as other issues that are important to our communities.
I have sat on several committees, including attending full council, with the aim of improving the lives of my local residents and the wider residents of Fife.
I have had the pleasure of working with my colleague and friend Brian Goodall who has also tirelessly supported local residents, and tirelessly campaigned on the issues that are important to our communities.
I very much look forward to serving my local community in the coming years and continuing to support my local community on the issues that are important to us all.
